This obi belt inspiration is from Wafuku (Japanese style kimono clothing). Kimono is a waking art gallery and obi is always very important part of kimono and there is more lavish than the kimono itself.

This obi belt is handmade from hand dyed using the yuzen technique (waxy material placed all over except where they wanted the dye. Then it would be dyed and washed off and the process repeated until all colors in the whole piece were finished) 1920's antique Japanese crepe silk kimono with a part gold cord embroidered and black obi lining.
