I do all parts of the business myself, from production, press, distribution, to the hanger.
The process of my scarves, throws, wraps, and shawls is inspired from an old felting technique. It is a very laborious and time consuming type of weaving without the assistance of a loom, and instead woven by hand. The only materials involved in the process is raw fiber from different breeds of the Merino Sheep, warm water, and soap naturally made from olive oil. The Merino is an economically influential breed of Sheep prized for its wool. Merinos are regarded as having the finest and softest wool of any sheep, making it a perfect material for scarves and wraps.
After a series of extended agitation techniques and hand cleaning processes have been applied to the fibers following the weave, the pieces are ready for wear. This process can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to create just the right texture and aesthetic. Each piece is 100% handmade by me, and will turn out unique from any other.
