STUDIO HARLEN is a London based label creating a range of graphically inspired printed and leather accessories. STUDIO HARLEN was founded in 2011 by two friends, Kate Underwood and Sophie Harris.STUDIO HARLEN set out to design and make accessories that reflected the contemporary women’s needs, women who appreciate clean design but still like their personal style to have an edge.
When designing we adhere to the Bauhaus philosophy that form should follow function as a result our accessories are simply constructed, with a modern aesthetic.Kate and Sophie met in September 2006 when starting university. Kate studied Womenswear at London College of Fashion, and Sophie studied Graphic Design at Central St Martins. Having always shared similar design principles STUDIO HARLEN is the uniting of their separate disciplines. We believe that it is this collaboration of different design backgrounds that give STUDIO HARLEN its unique style. All our products are individually screen printed and crafted in our London studio using fine quality leather, fabrics and dyes, and where possible we always strive to use organic and fairtrade cotton.
