We design, make and produce leather bags (from clutches to shoulder bags and laptop cases) for women, and men. The leather we use comes from Italy and Spain, all the production is made by ourselves, in our Essex workshop. No mass production as it’s just the two of us! Australian born Steven Harkin has more than 25 years experience as an artist/designer and maker of handbags and an international recognition. He has been a Senior Lecturer at London College of Fashion, in Accessories. He is one of the very few in the world, who can actually MAKE their designs.
Barbara Pani, born in Belgium, has been a linguist (French and Italian teacher and translator) in Turin, Italy for about 20 years before moving to the UK. She deals with the office work, websites, marketing and customer care and gives her contribution to the design by researching trends and giving ideas. She sometimes gets her hands dirty as well, when the workload is really too much just for Steve.We stand out from the crowd as our designs are uncluttered, simple & sophisticated, functional & innovative, “practical pieces of art” as one of our customers wrote. “The Roll Royce” of handbags according to another customer.
