Origata is a leather purse both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. According to the Japanese tradition, an origata is a special kind of origami whose reason for existence is to function as a fragile packaging for a gift. Making a reinterpretation of the material, we didn't create a paper origata, but a leather one.

According to the Shintoist tradition, a paper origami symbolizes the natural cycle of death and rebirth, in fact, because of the paper fragility, the origami is doomed to a rapid damage (death) but the origami is re-created endlessly and thanks to the tradition this cycle of death and rebirth is perpetuated. Replacing paper with leather represents an attempt to freeze this cycle thanks to the most durable material, the leather. Attempt illusory like the fashion, illusory because it deceives just like a photograph does when it appears to be a time freezing.
