Buying on Boticca.com - how does it work?

All buyers need to have registered for a unique Boticca.com account. Boticca.com works by directly connecting buyers and sellers together - to order items you simply use whatever payment method you choose when checking out.

Please remember that you do not purchase from Boticca.com directly, you purchase from the seller directly. Sellers on Boticca.com have their own return policy and shipping and payment options.

If you have questions the best course of action is to contact the seller directly using Boticca.com’s messaging system before making your purchase.

What is the cancellation and refund policy at Boticca.com?
Each seller on Boticca.com's marketplace has his or her own policy as to refunds. Please be sure to check those policies by looking at the store policy section in each seller's profile before adding one of their items to your Shopping Bag. If you wish to cancel a transaction, please contact the seller immediately via our built-in messaging system and if the seller agrees, we will be happy to issue the refund.

Why can't I leave feedback?
Either you have simply left it too late, as all feedback must be left within 90 days of the transaction, or the seller canceled the transaction.

How do I change my email address?
First login in to your account, visit My Account>Settings where the Change Email Address option is available. It is vital that you provide us with you current email address at all times as this is our primary means of contacting you with important information about your account. Please note that an email address can only be associated with one Boticca.com account.

How do I change my mailing address?
Simply Login, navigate to My Account>Addresses and follow the relevant link.

How do I change my password?

This is a straightforward process if you are able to Login to your account, simply go to My Account>Settings and an option to Change Password will be available.

If you cannot Login, you must reset your password from the Login page. You will receive a temporary login number and then you can change your password to something more memorable from the account info section of the site.

What do I do if I can't find the confirmation email?
First check your junk mail, spam folders and current email settings to make sure the problem is with us and not with your email, then simply click the link on the Login page to resend the email. If that still does not work, please contact us immediately and we’ll help.

What currencies can Boticca.com handle?
Boticca.com features built-in currency conversion between pound sterling, euro and United States Dollars. You can switch between these currencies by clicking the relevant symbol located in the top left of the site, to the right hand side of your shopping bag total.

How do I delete my Boticca.com account?
If for some reason you decide that you wish to leave our community, navigate to My Account> Settings and you can deactivate your account at the bottom. You can also contact support and we will remove all your information from our system.

What is the delivery policy at Boticca.com?
As Boticca.com is an online marketplace connecting buyers with sellers, we are not involved with the shipment of goods purchased on our website. Each seller has his or her own shipping method and timeframe for delivery, clearly visible when adding the item to your Shopping Bag or on the seller's store policies in their profile. Before adding an item, please check that you are in agreement with their policy.

What can I do if I suspect I'm not receiving emails from Boticca.com?
There are four steps to take. First, make sure the email address we have for you is current, if it isn't we can't get in touch with you. Second, check your junk/spam email folder. Third, add Boticca.com's email address to your address book, thereby ensuring our emails aren't diverted to your junk/spam. Our emails always originate from @boticca.com. Finally, if none of the previous actions recover the missing communications from us, contact support.

What do I do first at Boticca.com?

The very first thing you should do is register with us. Simply by clicking the 'sign-up' link in the top right of the site you will be on your way to becoming a part of our community. You merely need to enter a valid email address and create your own Boticca.com username and password.

There are two things to remember when registering: 1. Usernames must be numbers and letters only. 2. Usernames are not case-sensitive but passwords are.

Your username can be as funky and as expressive as you are, but if you plan on becoming a seller you need to be aware that your username will be your shop name and so you owe it to yourself to put some thought and care into how you want to represent yourself on the site. See our Selling FAQ for more details on becoming a seller.

Boticca.com is an e-commerce site, everyone engaging in a transaction must be over 18 or have parental permission. You should also peruse our terms and conditions before signing up.

What do I do if I've forgotten my username and/or password/email...?
We still may be able to help recover your account if you can prove ownership of it. If you have lost all information you will need to register with a brand new account.

What do I do if I've forgotten my password?
All you need to is reset your password from the Login page. You will receive a temporary login number and then you can change your password to something more memorable from the account info section of the site.

How does the Boticca.com feedback system work?
On Boticca.com.com you can leave a positive or negative feedback rating and comments for designers that you have bought from. Feedback scores are the cumulative total of all the feedback ratings that one receives. Neutral feedback has no affect on overall ratings.

What do I do when I go on holiday or am sick?
You have the ability to put your seller account into Holiday Mode. Simply go to My Account> Holiday mode. During your holiday period, buyers will be able to see your items but will not be able to purchase them. When you return, simply visit the same page and set holiday mode to off and save your changes.

How do I list items for sale?

1. Add your item by clicking My Items tab in My Boticca. Enter the items title (maximum length is 40 characters) and choose your item category from the drop-down menu. Then fill in the item’s description (maximum length is 400 characters), size (optional), price and how many of that item you are selling. Select your shipping profile and move on to Step 2.

2. Tag your item with the materials that it is constructed from, enabling customers to find your item by searching by materials.

3. Tag your item with the primary colours featured it is constructed from - enabling customers to find your item by searching by colours. You can select up to 4 colours.

4. Add up to 4 images - click the browse button and navigate to the images you wish to use. Click upload and you will see a thumbnail of the image. All images must be held locally on your computer and uploaded to our servers. You can remove, edit and change the order of your listing images.

5. Your item has been added! If your item has not been uploaded to your liking, you can always edit the item by clicking on Edit Item in My Items. If the pictures have not been cropped properly, you can click on “Edit” next to the picture in question and you will be taken to the PicnikTM photo-editing service where you can crop and resize the picture to your liking and export it to Boticca.com.

How can I pay?

In the final stage of the checkout process there will be payment instructions, this differs depending on the payment method you chose. Note that if you purchased items from different sellers in the same checkout that each seller gets paid individually. Your purchase history and past invoices can be checked at any time by visiting My Account > Order History.

In the check-out process, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Maestro and Solo.

Why have some items been removed from my shopping bag?

The items that you add to your bag are not set aside for you until you go through the checkout process. The vast majority of our products here at Boticca.com are one-of-a-kind, hot items from rising star designers are likely to sell out fast. If it is becoming popular with our community you shouldn't leave your items in your bag for too long before you checkout.

It is also possible that the seller deleted or edited the listing before you had completed your purchase, they may well relist the item, in which case you merely need to re-add it to your shopping bag when it becomes available. If you are left disappointed by missing out on a unique item you can contact the seller directly to see if they can recreate the piece for you.

How can I leave feedback?
You can find items awaiting your feedback here My Boticca.com > Feedback. You have a window of 90 days following the transaction date to leave feedback, after that time the ability to leave feedback expires.

What do I do if I can't login?

You will not be able to sign in to your account if it has not been activated. After the registration process we send you a confirmation link that you need to click in order to activate your account. If you require this email to be resent click on the relevant link on the Login page.

It is also possible that you are mistyping your password. Make sure your CAPS LOCK or NUMBER LOCK functions are not activated on your keyboard. You can also clear your web browser's cache and cookies or try signing in through a different web browser program.

If none of these solutions solve your sign in problems, visit the Login page and click the link to reset your password.

I've made a mistake with feedback! What can I do?
If you have mistakenly left negative feedback or left positive feedback for the wrong person you can contact support to resolve the issue.

Can I delete or change feedback?
Feedback can only be changed by mutual agreement between both parties. There are a few other instances in which Boticca.com reserves the right to remove feedback, please see our terms and conditions for further details.

Can I ship my items to multiple addresses?

During the checkout process at Boticca.com you can only select one shipping process. If you have items that you wish to send directly to your friends or family as gifts take the following steps:

* make sure you are logged in

* move the items you want to send as a gift from your Shopping Bag to your Wishlist

* checkout the items for yourself using your address

* return to your Wishlist and add the items back to your Shopping Bag

* perform another checkout with the gift address

What can I do about negative feedback?
Reach out to the customer in the first instance and discover the root of the problem. By mutual agreement you can then delete or edit the negative feedback. If you believe the feedback is offensive or breaches the Boticca.com terms and conditions please contact customer support.

What do I do if I am not happy with an item I received?
To get a resolution to your problem please contact the seller directly through our site regarding their return and refund policies. We are confident that sellers will almost always provide a swift and satisfactory solution to the problem. If you do not receive a response and you believe that you have genuinely been misled by the items description and/or condition, then you may file a transaction report with us. You may also use our feedback system to warn other buyers about that particular seller.

What do I do if my order doesn't arrive?
To get a resolution to your problem, please contact the seller directly through our site. We are confident that sellers will almost always provide a swift and satisfactory solution to the problem. If you do not receive a response and you believe that you have not been sent the items you purchased you may file a transaction report with us. You may also use our feedback system to warn other buyers about that particular seller.

How am I billed and how do I pay my seller fees?
At the end of every month we will send you an email with an invoice containing all the fees you have incurred throughout the month.

Why do I have to complete my profile before adding an item?
We do this to improve customer experience. We feel that all of the factors you must fulfil to complete your profile are necessary to give your customers the complete shop experience on Boticca.com.

How can someone have a 100% rating despite having negative feedback?
Overall ratings are rounded upwards to the nearest whole number, therefore a sufficient amount of positive feedback could result in a 100% score.

What is the policy on returns and refunds at Boticca.com?
Each seller on Boticca.com's marketplace has his or her own policy as to returns. Please be sure to check those policies by looking at the store policy section in each seller's profile before adding one of their items to your Shopping Bag. If you wish to return a good, please contact the seller immediately via our built-in messaging system and if the seller agrees to issue a refund, we will be happy to process it.

How do Boticca.com seller fees work?
There are no listing fees at Boticca.com. When the item sells there is a commission depending your feedback points and the price of the item (not including shipping). All fees are in pounds sterling. More information can be found in our terms and conditions.

Is there a fee to set up my seller shop on Boticca.com?
Registering for a seller account and starting your shop is free and does not incur any ongoing monthly or yearly fees - you simply pay a commission for items that are sold on our marketplace.

Can I set different shipping costs for international shipping?
Yes your seller account allows you to specify shipping costs for international orders, enabling you to easily and confidently sell your designs worldwide.

I'm having trouble creating a Shipping Profile - could you help me out?

Can I change my shop name?
Your shop name on Boticca.com can be changed except when documented legal proceedings affirm that your name infringes on a trademark or at the discretion of Boticca.com

How does the Boticca.com shopping bag work?
The shopping bag conveniently allows you to select your purchases in one place and speeds up the checkout process - it is the quickest and easiest way that you can place orders with multiple independent fashion designers at the same time! To add items, simply click the green Add to Shopping Bag button on the item listing page. You can remove items and edit the contents of your shopping bag at any time. When you have finished selecting your new items you click the checkout button and follow the instructions. If you are in the mood for window shopping you can save your items to your Wishlist, where it will be stored at My Wishlist at the top-right of your screen.

How do I get started as a seller on Boticca.com?

Boticca.com approves all sellers on its marketplace before they are able to sell. Fill out the seller sign up form by clicking here. You will need to provide us with a valid Paypal account (where we will send your earnings) as well as a URL and images of your work. If you were pre-approved by one of Boticca.com’s team members, please enter your Authorisation code and disregard providing us with a URL or images of your creations.

Remember that your username will be your shop name and public face on Boticca.com so make sure you chose it wisely. Once you have filled up the form, you will receive an email to activate your buyer account. Once you are approved by the team, you will receive an email confirming your status as a seller on the website. You will then have a number of options to customize your shop, create your shipping profiles and upload items and more. Follow the on screen instructions to flesh out your seller account and start selling straight away.

How do I use shipping profiles?
Shipping profiles allow you to save a specific set of shipping information so that you can apply it to any item's listing. Visit My Boticca > Shipping Options to add or edit a shipping profile. Please note that you can save a new profile while listing an item but that you do not have to use a shipping profile, this feature is there for your convenience.

How do I view feedback I have received or given?
Login to your account and visit My Boticca>Feedback>Completed Feedback to view links to your past ratings and comments.

When should I leave feedback?
Buyers should leave feedback after they have received the item. All feedback must be made within 90 days of the transaction.

Why is it necessary to register before I can buy anything?
The feedback system that we employ would be compromised if we weren't able to identify the parties involved in every transaction. Registering on the site is also an easy and quick way for us to provide you with the ability to track your transaction history and to save you the time and effort of re-entering your details in the future.
