These are gorgeous!
My name is Noémie Vaillancourt, the feather was the beginning of my great story. This delicate material inspires me from the creation of Noémiah, in 2008. During the early years, I explored contrasts: combining a modern design to the fragility of the feather or playing with the industrial aspect of brass and enamel. Over the years, I discovered I could also play with the plumage of many more birds, including mallards, rooster, and the silver pheasant for example.
In 2010, the Aztec Chic Collection caught the eye of many stylists and buyers from all over the world. The use of a geometric handmade cut ostrich feather appears to be a unique and very innovative version of the traditional feather. Collection after collection, I try to renew the use of my very first crush, the feather. Soft and elegant textures merged with chunky chains, stones and raw crystals, create statement pieces and outstanding fashion accessories that are both sensual and comfortable to wear. Noémiah is sold in 15 retailers across Canada. I also collaborated with many Montreal based artists, photographers and stylists over the years. I am actually studiying tailoring and sewing to pursue my dream of Noémiah becoming a full line of jewelry, accessories and clothing one day.Read less
