Le cirque macabre

In the back of the dark forest, the deads’ circus was taking place. Many dead people were staging a show in front of the dark forest’s denizens. Everybody in the dark forest loved the show. Especially the snake show and the trapeze were the most enchanting. The deads made the snakes dance, dance, and dance. But they didn’t think the snakes would get hungry or tired, because the dead people don’t know what is hunger or tiredness. So they kept the snakes dancing day and night, non-stop. The snakes were so exhausted, and they thought unless they escape from the deads they would eventually die. They heard about the legend of the ladder leading to the night sky on the day of the full blue moon. So when there was a full blue moon, they have gathered around the ladder, and they started to climb the ladder. To their surprise, the ladder got longer and longer, higher and higher. Finally the snakes reached the stars in the sky, and they put a dark spell on the deads, so that the dead people keep performing their circus day and night, non-stop. From then, the snakes become the stars, and the deads become the mere hands on the trapeze, keep performing the trapeze show.
