I was born and raised by a Swiss mother and a Vietnamese father along the picturesque shores of the Lake Leman in Geneva, Switzerland.
This unusual combination gave rise to an instinctive desire to discover the world. After studying international relations and working as a wealth manager, it was the colour, the images and the encounters of a trip around the world that finally prompted me to take the plunge and start designing my own jewelry.
In 2010, the first maria-xuan collection was launched, featuring necklaces and earrings combining semi-precious stones, jade and horn. Horn is both sensual, natural and light and lends itself to an infinite number of shapes and nuances. I took to it almost intuitively and it has indeed become one of my trademarks.
All maria-xuan jewelry is handmade in Vietnam and finished in my atelier in Geneva, a combination of Vietnamese “savoir-faire” and modern trends. Each piece is a depiction of my sensitivity and my dreamlike personality. They are timeless and classical, and yet in vogue. They are pieces to play with or pieces to live by…
