BERLIN, Germany
MARC ANDERSEN is not a brand.
It is an alter ego.
The label was founded in 2011 in Berlin by two visual artists (MA degree at the Academy of Fine Arts - Venice; their installations
and paintings are in private collections in Berlin, Wien and Los Angeles) and a young fashion designer (MA degree at IUAV
Fashion Design - Venice; she made collaborations with Tatanaka in London, Frank Leder and Daniel Kroh in Berlin and
worked as costume designer for the
Berliner Ensemble Theater).
With MARC ANDERSEN, they launched a new and innovative concept, in wich their scarves make art become fashion and viceversa.
The trends, colors and shapes of Berlin inspire the visionary approach of
Marc Andersen’s design.
The scarves collections are a visual representation of the urban chromatisms and contemporary geometries that embrace the
city, from the Nu Disco Music graphics to the young underground cultural scene and
the 80’s revival style.
The scarves are designed in Berlin, but made and printed in Como (Italy), to offer the best quality of textiiles and manufacture,
using digital print instead of other traditional printing tecniques to create extraordinary effects, patterns and colors.
Design and inspirations are made in Berlin, but the manufacture is 100% Made in Italy.
The design is unisex. A must have for people looking for something unique, transforming basic outfits into something
new and extraordinary with just a simple touch.
This, mixed with the extra limited edition collections approach developed
by MARC ANDERSEN, makes every scarf
a beautiful and one-of-a-kind artwork piece.
MARC ANDERSEN already presented the label participating to international events such as Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion Week and temporary shop exhibitions in Paris.
The collections are available in boutique and concept stores in Germany, France, Italy and Canada. Wear your MARC ANDERSEN.
And be unique.
