Who needs to follow the lines? The Polka Dot Splatter series takes the restrained and regularly repeating polka dot and scrambles it. These polka dots are beautiful and spontaneous splatters, playing off the grid structure that grounds the entire pattern.
I personally execute all design and making processes in my Richmond, VA studio: this scarf has been warp-painted, woven, and dyed by hand and is a one-of-a-kind piece. It is woven with a combination of extra-fine-weight and medium-weight mercerized cotton (warp) and extra-fine-weight cotton (weft) to create a sturdy but very lightweight piece with subtle ribbing along the length of the scarf. This scarf is silky and soft with excellent drape in a casual and versatile width of 12”. Care is simple: wash by hand in a delicate detergent, lay out immediately after washing, and dry flat. Do not wring.
