My love for the mechanics of weaving and the unique qualities of handwoven cloth is reflected in the design and construction of every Little Fool handwoven scarf. I use dyeing techniques of ikat, resist, and warp painting to create one-of-a-kind luxury scarves that celebrate the beauty of woven structure. Each design considers how the piece will reveal itself when bunched around the neck, or draped over the body.
My finely woven scarves and wraps are woven, dyed, and painted by hand in my Richmond, VA studio. They are made using fine mercerized cotton and other luxury fibers such as silk, merino, and alpaca, purchased in a neutral palette. All color is dyed in my studio, and each piece is finished with a hand-painted Lf signature.
