When I graduated from the fashion journalism course at Central Saint Martins, I still felt like something was missing. Though writing was enjoyable, I had been yearning to design and create, and Little Fille was born from that desire.The name Little Fille comes from the French term for granddaughter, petite fille. I wanted to pay tribute to my grandparents, particularly to my late grandfathers who were always so supportive of me.
I started by making one-offs and custom pieces, and slowly as demand for the headbands increased, I decided to create a proper winter collection that would incorporate different earmuff designs as well.Handmade with rich velvets, freshwater pearls, cord, satin, and metallic chains, the collection was inspired by the 1920s, science fiction/fantasy and winter fairytales. I like to make every design as versatile as possible, whether that means a piece can be flipped around to create a completely different look - or that the headband can transition easily from day to night.
