The Star-Crossed Lovers collection features dark romantic jewellery pieces called Romeo & Juliet, Heathcliff & Cathy and Abelard & Heloise.
I’ve taken inspiration from classic romantic love stories in literature and the middle ages to embody a collection that immediately provokes images of passion, dark romance and tragedy – a theme rich in imagery that plays out strikingly in the medium of jewellery.
Star-crossed lovers as a theme really inspired me and let me incorporate elements like interlocking rings that can be worn as pairs (so perfect for stacking) or on their own, plus feminine forms and more masculine armour-like details.
The feminine and the masculine personalities of these characters are really at play in this collection and incorporated into every piece to reflect the theme.
This necklace is inspired by Heathcliff’s passionate love for Cathy in Wuthering Heights – a chevron shape with spirals at each end curl around the fine silver chain that is soldered into position at each end – a real show stopper.
Handmade by me in my North London studio and comes packaged in a Lee Renée branded box and wrapped in satin ribbon.
Pendant measures approx 5.5cm wide and 1.8cm long. Chain is 18” long.
Necklace and chain are made in silver, then generously overlayed with 18ct gold.
