I am Kat Barry, Kat&Bee's designer, I bring a flair for design, built up from several years working with fashion brands at ELLE, The Guardian & Observer and Company magazine. Working from my design studio in East London, my jewellery collection brings together my contemporary yet chaotic style and is influenced by all elements of my life and culture.
Kat&Bee creates original and hand-made one off pieces with designs ranging from quirky gothic, to big and stunningly beautiful to simple yet eclectic.
Texture and shape are paramount to every design, and each piece is hand-crafted using a mix of beads and objects fused together, often with my trademark skull. Each piece is intended to capture the wearers individuality, and, imbued with an eclectic feel. A Kat&Bee piece really is a one-off find. Getting a feeling for the tastes of the truly stylish, I worked with many leading fashion brands before deciding to go at it alone and set up my own business. One year in, my designs and collections have built up through fantastic word of mouth.
This is my 2nd purchase in about as many months, as they make such lovely gifts, especially as the prices are so good on Boticca. Both times they arrived really promptly and beautifully packaged. It's only a matter of time before I buy another as a 'self-gift', although it will probably have to be one of the bigger ones ;-)
