I am a French designer. I was born in Paris, into a family of horse riders who transmitted a passion for saddlery. After studying interior design, I worked for different brands and markets in a very wide range of fashion accessories. I then decided to combine the two passions I had for leather and fashion and created my brand of bags.
Jules Sainte Rose bags are mostly inspired by saddlery but also by travels, arts, and my daily observance of people’s needs and styles.
I generally start with basic shapes and I rework them with different materials, colors or proportions. I am satisfied with the idea of creating something simple but not classical and playing with a story. All bags have names which give them all their dimensions and poetry. Materials are carefully selected and generally respect natural treatments. Leather is 100% vegetable lambskin so as to give this natural and delicate look. At the end, Jules Sainte Rose bags want to be chic-relax, subtle, colorful and endearing.
