Stylist to the Stars: Alex Longmore

For celebrity stylist and Style School founder Alex Longmore, style isn’t about following trends. Alex works with celebrities like Zara Phillips and Amanda Holden, dressing them in high-end wares for fashion editorials. But when it comes to her personal style, this savvy stylist is much more relaxed. She spends fall and winter in boyish basics, but she gives her wardrobe an overhaul for spring and summer. “Clashing prints, vintage finds, tea dresses in pretty colors, long silk maxi dresses – feminine and free is the look I go for,” Alex says of her summer style. Like everyone at Boticca, she is an accessories aficionado, and she calls herself a magpie – she loves semi-precious stones and crystals. She prefers gold to silver jewelry, and her arms are always adorned with stacks of bangles and bracelets. She never leaves home without her chunky watch, and when it comes to jewelry, Alex believes bigger is better. This fashion expert doesn’t believe in separating day and night looks. She says she never needs to add more than a statement necklace to punch up her look for a night out, because she can’t get enough of bold accessories. Alex also loves to travel, and like us, she believes jewelry is the ideal souvenir.
