The Story

I am Golnar Gorgin. For the time being, I design and make jewelry in Florence, Italy. I was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1980. I started my academic studies in the field of industrial design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University in 2000. Through some teamwork at the university, I developed a passion for jewelry design and enjoyed the opportunities that this field offers in terms of materials and modes of production.

My studies and experiences in Iran came to an end with an exhibition of my works, held at the Visual Arts Gallery in the Faculty of Fine Arts. Searching for new opportunities and wanting to get more acquainted with today’s world of fashion design, I left Iran for Florence, Italy in 2005.In Florence, I completed a course in jewelry design at the University of Florence. Also, as a part of my apprenticeship scheme, I joined SusannaDeCarlo Company and I have been collaborating with them for two years.
Currently I'm working on a master's degree in design here in Florence.
