Glint
London, United Kingdom
The Story
Kate Wood has been making jewellery in one form or another since childhood. Largely self-taught, her work is informed by the natural world, tiny overlooked details, beautiful gemstones and a love of simple forms, aged finishes and vintage glamour. After graduating with a French degree Kate worked as a museum archivist before launching her business in 2005. She started out selling her jewellery in London markets including Spitalfields and Portobello, where she developed her distinctively organic designs and began to attract the attention of boutiques and galleries.
Kate is now represented by several UK galleries and creates her jewellery collections completely by hand from her studio at the renowned Cockpit Arts in London’s Holborn.
