With a dress designer for a mother and having lived within reaching distance of the famous Chanel tweed mill, it could be said it was Liz Bloom’s destiny to become a designer. After completing a degree in Fine Art and Sculpture, it was a chance encounter with a button seller that set her on her way to becoming a designer. Mostly self-taught, Liz uses her intricate techniques to carefully and lovingly combine the fabric to the wood. Now, as she prepares to move from her home city of London for the bright lights of Chicago, we caught up with this fascinating designer to see just what makes her tick.
