Inspiration
Tourmaline is the alternate birthstone for October, along with the opal. It was recognized by Ancient Indians as a “teller” stone bringing insight during times of struggle and doubts and providing direction to “good”. Alchemists believed it to be related to the philosopher’s stone and that it would grant enlightenment, give power over spiritual affairs, reconcile opposites and change base metals to gold. The 18th Century’s literature describes this stone as being helpful to artists, authors, actors and all those in creative fields.
Description
The bracelet is handmade by myself; after a careful selection, each bead was wrapped in gold-filled wire. The sliding knot finished with small gold-filled tubes allows the bracelet length adjustment.
The bracelet arrives in a sand color satin pouch made by myself. A certificate of authenticity and care instructions are included.
Dimension/Size
Adjustable between 15.5 cm to 23 cm. Not suitable for a very tight wearing, given its minimum dimension (see the second picture). Anyway I recommend you to measure your wrist on the point you would like to wear the bracelet.
Material Used
Smooth oval tourmaline beads and 14k/20 gold-filled wire, black matte water-resistant cord of 0.75 mm width.
Please note that the gold-filled wire and findings I use are made in the USA, they contain 5% 14k gold which ensures a significantly longer durability (up to 30 years) even in comparison with the heavy gold plated items and they are nickel free (non-allergenic).
