Bracher Emden

The Story

I started Bracher Emden in 2002, in a humble store in Covent Garden, and the story from there has been as individual and alluring as one of my creations! My team and I have been making waves in a very crowded and competitive pond, appreciated for my structural intendment, my handiwork often includes a masculine element, but is undoubtedly, unmistakably effeminate luxury.

An independent brand, we regard the honour of a main window at iconic stores Selfridges in London and Henri Bendel in New York as one of many of my great achievements – a true testament to the brand’s long lasting creativity and individuality. As a brand, we do not comply with mass produced, dull accessories. I believe that if a person is to indulge in a luxury item, it should be a real one off, something distinct, to be proud of. I ensure that it fulfills these ideals with the use of the best quality materials and truly putting hard work and love into every single item that is consummated.Lusted after by the likes of some of the world’s most high profile celebrities, such as Beyonce and Rihanna, my individual pieces have all been inspired by superheroes. My penchant for geometric forms makes my designs somewhat androgynous, setting them apart from all other designers. However, every single creation that I makes has unquestionably been designed to fit the female form, it may be a subtle nod to femininity such as a soft curve, or slight indentation, but without fail each Bracher Emden bag moulds to a woman’s silhouette perfectly.Bracher Emden have had the pleasure of fronting some innovating collaborations during our time in the industry, amongst these great partnerships sit a wedding collection launched with Swarovski, a union with Clinique, and some pioneering catwalk collections. AW12 credited Bracher Emden as the only brand to appear twice on the London Fashion Week catwalk at Somerset house. Impeccably harmonized alliances with renowned designers Bora Aksu and Jean-Pierre Braganza catapulted Bracher Emden to the forefront of one of the world’s most prestigious fashion platforms. The excitement doesn’t stop here, SS13 will welcome further innovative relations with befitting brands.Fashion moves fast and in order to stay ahead of the game throughout my ten successful years in the industry, I have had to maintain a level of technical advancement, which coincides well with the brands remit of individualism. Uniting with existing skills such as layering and applique, I have managed to set the quality and precision of my designs apart from all others by introducing new techniques such as laser etching and embossing. I constantly experiment with new methods and leather processes, this factor made easier with the aid of my very own team in Thailand, where I am based.Having stood at the forefront of the luxury sector for 10 successful years, Bracher Emden have always prided ourselves on unique, couture pieces. Whilst many fashion houses have moved to mass produced styles and assembly line factory production, Bracher Emden have remained true to our original ideals of affluent quality. Bracher Emden have a huge following from those desiring something more unique, our intimate bespoke service offers clients handmade, made to order, one off handbags. Each piece is tailored specifically to the buyer’s specification, commanding a high degree of involvement and customisation. Bracher Emden products really are the epitome of luxury, dazzling examples of what luxury fashion should constantly represent – exceptional indulgence.
