Bonana van Mil’s collection “Bijoux-Bijoux” is an intimate glimpse into the designer’s private journal and jewelry box. Inspired by personal memories and precious stones it invites you to discover the intricacies of the life that created it.
The collection’s name (bijoux meaning “jewel” in French) is an homage to the ever sparkling city Bonana van Mil calls home: Paris, France.
However, her inspiration for “Bijoux-Bijoux” was drawn not only from the City of Lights but also from her childhood in Africa where she would spend days lounging in the branches of the Jacaranda tree.
It was there that she allowed herself to be seduced by the multicolored
plumage of the Helmeted and african Guineafowl and there that she fell hopelessly in love with color. “Bijoux-Bijoux” offers a wide range of colors: Vibrant hues of emerald-green, gold, sapphire, and carnelian orange are paired with neutrals black and white to create graphic prints meticulously sculpted by the hand of the designer. Adorned with fine gold chains, vintage amulets, and silk threads each scarf
in the collection is both precious and unique.
Studio BVM invites you to indulge in the sumptuous aesthetic of “Bijoux-Bijoux”.
