Women for Women International

International Women’s Day is almost here! This year, we’re celebrating with a very special collaboration with Women for Women International, an organization that helps women in war-torn countries develop the skills they need to provide for themselves and their families. Five of our independent designers created exclusive pieces to raise money for this wonderful cause – all profits will go straight to Women for Women. Each designer has created an item that reflects the strength and character of women in the world today. Here, we present each piece in this special collection. Shop this collection and help support sisters around the world! Click here to learn more about our collaboration with Women for Women International.

Storytellers

Posted in by

Stories are told in many ways: through sounds, images and of course, through words. Some of our designers incorporate words into their unique creations to more effectively tell their stories: Words are folded into delicate designs, hidden in little-known languages or in plain sight, adorning jewelry and accessories alike. Click here to learn more about the stories that complete each of these poetic collections and find out how you can create a story of your own.

Craft Central: Meet Our Designers!

Clockwise from top left: Nicola Crawford; De Anna Kiernan; Jessica de Lotz; Jessica's jewelry.

Boticca designers Nicola Crawford, De Anna Kiernan and Jessica de Lotz are all showing at London’s Craft Central this weekend, and we had a chance to stop in for a visit (and a glass of champagne)! Craft Central is a non-profit organization that houses studio space for artists and designers. This weekend’s open studio event allows members of the public to meet these designers and see their work in person – a true pleasure for design fanatics like us!

It was great to see Nicola Crawford’s romantic pieces in person: she is showing several pieces, including her Lost Words Pendant and Single Kisses earrings. We were also able to chat with De Anna Kiernan about her bold Gold Quill Curve earrings and her Geometric Cocktail ring. Of course, we had to pop in and see the lovely Jessica de Lotz show off her quintessentially British designs, including her Hand Stamped Wax Seal necklace and her Personalized Hand Stamped Wax Seal bangle.

Stop by Craft Central this weekend, and don’t forget to check out Nicola Crawford, De Anna Kiernan and Jessica de Lotz here on Boticca!

P.S. Add these designers to your favorites list to get V.I.P. treatment. Learn more right here!

Fresh Talent Alert – December 21st

Posted in by

Another week, another influx of amazingly creative and unique independent designers for Boticca.

Nicola Crawford

Jewelry came to Nicola Crawford when she decided to have a career 180 and make a total change. Following several courses in jewelry design and jewelry making, it was a love for vintage that led her to her design ethos. Stumbling upon a love letter from the Second World War, the fact that it had been treasured for so long made Nicola realize the impact of such an intimate thing. Wanting to create a collection based on this feeling, her designs in gold, silver and rose gold are infinitely tactile, beautiful and perfectly heirloom worthy.

Ines Susaeta

From a family of surfers, designer Nikola is inspired by the natural world around her, especially the shells found on the beach in her hometown of Bilbao. Working with silver and bronze, her jewelry is carefully handmade and designed in her workshop. Using only natural packing, she donates a percentage of her profits to natural charities.
