All aboard the Orient Express

Posted in by

Fans of unique, design led and original pieces (which of course you all are which is why you’re on Boticca) should look to the Orient this season. Gently fashionable and stunningly well-crafted, fervent fashionistas will get their autumn fashion trend fix by way of the Far East.

Of course oriental fashion is nothing new but it is always beautiful and those who choose to embrace it always stand head and shoulders above their more mainstream counterparts. What sets Oriental fashion apart from other key fashion trends is the sheer use of history and heritage that goes into it. With good luck symbols, month of birth symbols to even family connections, Oriental fashion has a deep rooted and distinct style which has kept it at the fore-front of fashion for decades.

For us, no trend quite hits the fashion nail on the head quite like Oriental. Unique, eye-catching and with a fascinating story to tell it is our ideal fashion trend!

So for those looking to embrace to embrace should look to greens, blues and reds to help form an essential style palette. A key fashion trend for autumn/winter 2011/2012, this re-invention is all about picking key pieces and making them the piece de resistance of your look as wearing it head to toe comes with the danger of looking like you have just left a fancy dress party. Look to obi belts, recycled materials, pop patterns, pearls and nature for a look that is both truly unique and eternally fashionable.

Talking of Obi Belts – Boticca designer Uroco uses vintage Japanese silk Kimono material for their range of chic and striking Obi Belts and clutches in all the colors under the rainbow. Where traditional Oriental looks featured specific symbols, haoshi uses their eclectic range of jewelry to remind us of the good things we have that in today’s fast-paced society we so quickly forget.

For Boticca’s take on this eternally chic trend, take a look at our selection.
