Fresh Talent Alert – December 1st

Posted in by

Another week, another influx of amazingly creative and unique independent designers for Boticca.

Rosie Gowans

After studying textile design, Rosie takes her inspirations from natural processes and how they can be manipulated and captured. With her local river of River Tay proving to be an endless source of inspiration, she combines this fascination with her love for color. Digitally printing her work, her aim with her designs is to highlight the small moments in life that people are often too busy to see.

Barbara Boner

With her childhood spent in cities ranging from Washington, Boston, London and Toronto, Barbara mixes the functionality of the classics with the Avant Garde of the more modern styles. Using details such as fringing and velvet to communicate the emotion of the piece, her pieces are for the thinking fashionista.

Yuh Okano

After working as a textile artist in Japan, Yuh Okano took her inspiration for flowers and the ocean and began making scarves. With a desire to create highly tactile, accessible accessories, she pushes herself not only to continually explore new techniques but also to keep her Japanese roots continually in mind.
