Meet our newest crop of talented designers.
Shota Suzuki
Shota Suzuki designs jewelry, but his pieces are better classified as sculptures. He studied traditional Japanese metalwork techniques from the Edo and Meiji periods and developed a unique approach to jewelry design. “Fine metal decoration techniques are much more beautiful to me than jewels,” Shota says. His ultra-delicate pieces are inspired by the life cycles of plants, what he calls “Nature’s Display.”
Microfficina
Microfficina designer Federico Vianello studied a variety of subjects from medicine to education before discovering his talent for design. Now, he creates sculptural contemporary jewelry and other design objects in his Florence studio. This Italian-born designer uses a variety of materials to create an array of intriguing pieces with strong identities. His collection of egg-shaped pieces was inspired by the story of the Egg of Columbus.
