Another week, another influx of amazingly creative and unique designers.
Shanny Alon
Caterpillars inspired jewelry designer Shanny Alon’s latest collection. Alon fell in love with goldsmithing while in East Asia. She returned home to Israel to hone her craft and launched her namesake line, which is inspired by natural forms. Her striking leather, brass and gold jewelry features elegant geometric shapes and timeless styles.
Yuki Nagao
A childhood obsession with creating things led Yuki Nagao to build a career in jewelry design. Japanese designer Yuki creates delicate, sweet jewelry inspired by animals and hiragana, a Japanese syllabary. Her understated, whimsical jewelry is impeccably crafted and perfect for everyday wear.
LouLouBelle Bags
LouLouBelle Bags are luxurious and ethically produced with much of the production based in designer Louise O’Leary’s native Ireland. The bags are made with buttery soft Tuscan leather and many feature a gorgeous brass antler, a nod to Ireland’s deer. In Ireland, antlers are removed from adult deer to protect younger competitors. The antler serves as a beautiful, unique symbol of protection. Louise’s LouLou Mushroom clutch was nominated for Best Overall Handbag at the 2012 Independent Handbag Designer Awards.
