Gold Medal Glory: Yael & Tal

Yael & Tal Windsurfing necklace

With the 2012 Olympics kicking off in our hometown, we’re in the mood for a bit of sport. That’s why we’ve fallen in love with Yael & Tal’s sporty new jewelry. The pieces fit nicely into the design team’s “Snapshot” collection, which aims to capture a moment in time. The designers say these particular pieces “perpetuate magical moments and posses a small world full of achievements, challenges, highs and thrills.”

Yael & Tal Gold-Plated Silver pendant

Get into the Olympic spirit with a “gold medal,” a gold-plated pendant that depicts an athlete in motion. It also features this beautiful inscription: “PER ARDUA AD ALTA.” Translation: “Through hard work, great heights are achieved,” a fitting message for this Olympic year.

Other pieces include a golfer lining up for a drive and a windsurfer leaning into a breeze, each one cheerful and lively. We’re pining for the Windsurfing necklace on this steamy city afternoon – which one is your favorite?

Eina Ahluwalia’s Gorgeous Jewels!

Gold chandelier earrings by Eina Ahluwalia

Our head of online marketing Sophia had a formal event to attend last week and she needed beautiful, glamorous jewelry. Who did she turn to? Eina Ahluwalia, of course!

Sophia accessorized her classic white sheath dress with Eina Ahluwalia’s gorgeous Warrior Helmet earrings. The chandelier earrings are part of Eina’s “Wedding Vows” collection, which encourages women to “love, respect and protect” themselves at all times, even within marriage. The collection, which features pieces inspired by armor and weapons, is a reminder of the effects of domestic violence, and it encourages women to put themselves first. A beautiful collection with a beautiful message – it doesn’t get much better than that!

Pippa Middleton Supports Independent Designers

Bundle MacLaren Nicolette hat, as seen on Pippa Middleton.

It’s official: Pippa Middleton is a fan of Boticca designer Bundle MacLaren! Britain’s most eligible bachelorette was photographed attending a friend’s wedding wearing Bundle’s gorgeous Nicolette hat, and we’re just thrilled to be able to offer it here on Boticca.

Bundle tells us that word of mouth led to her royal connection. Pippa heard about Bundle through a friend, so when she needed a hat for a wedding, she knew exactly where to turn. Bundle and Pippa looked at several hat and dress combinations before deciding that the navy Nicolette was the way to go.

There’s great news for you, too – the Nicolette hat can be yours! This famous hat is now available on Boticca, so be sure to pick it up for weddings, races and summer parties. But don’t miss out – with Pippa’s approval, this hat won’t be around much longer!

Here in London, the sun’s been hiding out for months, so when it finally decided to make a brief appearance, we had to take advantage. One half of our dynamic Style Hunting duo, Philippa, took the opportunity to show off some fantastic Boticca pieces.

Philippa looks gorgeous in alienina’s red Extra Wick necklace, a great summer statement piece if we ever saw one. She is also wearing the delicate Sabo Sonora cuff and carrying the Revolution bag by Lubochka, one of our newest designers. What do you think of Philippa’s look?

Pretty in Pink – and Origami

Posted by

Here’s Dimitra, the Greek half of Boticca’s talented graphic design duo, wearing a beautiful pink blouse that makes the perfect backdrop for gorgeous jewelry from Origami and :BRAÏ. Dimitra is in love with the Origami’s Big Rabbit necklace (who could blame her?), so she tried it in every color!

She also had to try the Lion – he looks so fierce in her hand! Last but not least, Dimitra had a chance to try on this letter necklace from :BRAÏ, which you can personalize with the message of your choice. What’s Dimitra’s message? Love, of course!

Livvy Échapeau Water Resistant Hat & Scarf Combin by L FOR LAZARUS - click to buy

We don’t know about where you are, but here in London, it feels like winter is still in full swing. After a few weeks of warm weather, we’ve been plunged back into the cold and darkness, with rain every day and enough chill to make us want to curl up under a blanket and stay there for days. That’s why we’re pining for the new Échapeau from L for Lazarus. This cozy scarf-hat hybrid will keep you warm on the coldest days, but if the combo piece doesn’t work for you, each piece is detachable and can be worn separately.

MeDusa bags are fun accessories no matter the weather: the cute Round Yellow bag is always a safe bet, but the Whale bag is a fun alternative when you need a little more space.

How do you deal with chilly, wet weather?
