Eté Indien Cuff Bracelet by Girandoles

For me, this Les Girandoles Éte Indien Cuff bracelet would be the perfect thing to wear on a long-distance trip. Covered in bric-a-brac and trinkets, I could be captivated looking at this piece of jewelry for hours- its pieces seem like they have infinite beginnings and endings.

Pippa Middleton Supports Independent Designers

Bundle MacLaren Nicolette hat, as seen on Pippa Middleton.

It’s official: Pippa Middleton is a fan of Boticca designer Bundle MacLaren! Britain’s most eligible bachelorette was photographed attending a friend’s wedding wearing Bundle’s gorgeous Nicolette hat, and we’re just thrilled to be able to offer it here on Boticca.

Bundle tells us that word of mouth led to her royal connection. Pippa heard about Bundle through a friend, so when she needed a hat for a wedding, she knew exactly where to turn. Bundle and Pippa looked at several hat and dress combinations before deciding that the navy Nicolette was the way to go.

There’s great news for you, too – the Nicolette hat can be yours! This famous hat is now available on Boticca, so be sure to pick it up for weddings, races and summer parties. But don’t miss out – with Pippa’s approval, this hat won’t be around much longer!

Big News For Árbol de Viento and Kempton & Co.

Posted in by

Great news – two Boticca designers are nominated for this year’s Independent Handbag Designer Awards! The awards are hosted by Handbag Designer 101, and you get to choose the Audience Fan Favorite!

Árbol de Viento’s “Hand” bag is nominated for the Most Socially Responsible Handbag award. Designers Martha Gómez and Marisa Collado employ a team of indigenous palm weavers in Oaxaca, Mexico, to weave the palm parts of their bags, giving the weavers the opportunity to work in their own communities, rather than abandoning their homeland. If Árbol de Viento wins, the company will receive a marketing feature with Patron Spirits Company and appear in InStyle magazine.

“I think this is a great opportunity to become visible in front of important people in the fashion world,” Marisa says. She and Martha are thrilled to go to New York for the event, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for them!

Boticca’s Kempton & Co. is nominated for Best Green Handbag, for designer Fiona’s brand-new creation, the Wiltshire bag. Her green bag was made using an old flour sack and bag hardware from the Salvation Army. If they win, Kempton & Co. will have the chance to collaborate with Timberland and appear in InStyle magazine. Kempton & Co. is also nominated for Best Kipling-Inspired Handbag for a proposed design, and the company wins, they will have the opportunity to design a limited-edition collection for the company.

Both designers are also in line for the Audience Fan Favorite award, and you can help choose the winner! Go to InStyle.com to vote for your favorite bag. The awards will be presented on June 13th.

I love being able to see the whole process of creation; Pennabilli uses reclaimed and recycled materials, so every piece is unique. My wife has the matching ring, so this would complete the set.

Craft Central: Meet Our Designers!

Clockwise from top left: Nicola Crawford; De Anna Kiernan; Jessica de Lotz; Jessica's jewelry.

Boticca designers Nicola Crawford, De Anna Kiernan and Jessica de Lotz are all showing at London’s Craft Central this weekend, and we had a chance to stop in for a visit (and a glass of champagne)! Craft Central is a non-profit organization that houses studio space for artists and designers. This weekend’s open studio event allows members of the public to meet these designers and see their work in person – a true pleasure for design fanatics like us!

It was great to see Nicola Crawford’s romantic pieces in person: she is showing several pieces, including her Lost Words Pendant and Single Kisses earrings. We were also able to chat with De Anna Kiernan about her bold Gold Quill Curve earrings and her Geometric Cocktail ring. Of course, we had to pop in and see the lovely Jessica de Lotz show off her quintessentially British designs, including her Hand Stamped Wax Seal necklace and her Personalized Hand Stamped Wax Seal bangle.

Stop by Craft Central this weekend, and don’t forget to check out Nicola Crawford, De Anna Kiernan and Jessica de Lotz here on Boticca!

P.S. Add these designers to your favorites list to get V.I.P. treatment. Learn more right here!

Another week, another influx of amazingly creative and unique designers.

Futabaya

Futabaya’s beautiful scarves are created in a fifth-generation kimono-dyeing workshop, using a traditional Japanese dyeing technique developed for Samurai families during Japan’s Edo era. The light scarves feature delicate designs in soothing colors that complement any summer outfit perfectly.

Neha

Marian and Kathia, the women behind Neha, design jewelry with themselves in mind and luckily, they have impeccable taste. Their designs capture their dreams and channel their emotions in a way that is beautiful and elegant. They aim to link their business with social causes, making their jewelry that much sweeter.
