Inspiration
The idea behind the design is an idealistic attempt to cope with some of the complexities of modern life. The fly lace pattern represents a synthesis of two conflicting identities most of us are living with – being a product of nature on the one hand (in our original environment likely to be visited by flies), and being a sophisticated member of society on the other (clad in elaborate man-made fabrics, perfumed and deodorised...)
The fly lace bandanas are therefore a playful approach for us to be more close to ourselves, remembering the wild creatures we could be.
