This is one of a totally unique range of 'Concertina Stoles'- so called because it expands and contracts as you wear it, like a concertina. It has 3.5 metres of silk and silk organza in 6 layers, which have been dyed from white to the base colour of a lemon yellow shade, then pleated and overdyed with contrasting shades of bright blue and turquoise. The stole has raw edges to keep its feathery quality; it is very warm, as it has 5 layers of air between its 6 layers of silk. Each end is finished with a dyed shell piece in shades of brilliant blue.
As with all pleated silk, this stole must be kept dry at all times. It can be specialist dry-cleaned and should be stored in its presentation box.
